Follow Friday [3]

Follow Friday is something I am very excited to be doing, since you know, I am kinda new and all. [: It is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Every week there is a new question to answer and new bloggers to meet! There is also a different blog featured every week! This weeks featured blog is Pretty In Fiction, so don't forget to head over there and check it out!

Want to get in on all the fun? Head on over to Parajunkee or Alison Can Read and get all the info to do your own Follow Friday and see who you will meet!!

This weeks question is...

Q: What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

A: Uhm, I can't really say I have done anything super crazy or anything. I have stood in a line for hours on end for Harry Potter and whatnot but other than that... I really wish I could say like, I was in a mad rush of book lovers and people got slammed everywhere and I had a tug of war with some lady for the book, but sadly that hasn't happened. Well, I guess that's a good thing huh?! [:
There were a few times I accidentally [*wink*] have not returned a book to my public library. One time my high school library sucked so much that I decided to just go back to the Middle School Library [it was like amazing] after classes and checked out a few books from there...I may have kept a Sarah Dessen book or two... BUT I had to pay the library before I could graduate! So, I didn't really steal it! I paid. [:

What about all you you? Anything crazy things you guys have done to get your paws on a book? Leave your own Follow Friday link or just comment and let me know! This question could get interesting answers.;]

  1. Well, you're definitely crazier than me! The longest I've stood in line for a book was...ten minutes? :D

  2. We have a few library books like that at my parents house - from my kid sister. (My school library didn't have anything worth reading in high school, and in jr high? I hid my book nerdishness, so I don't think I ever went in the library!)

Stop by and see my TGIF / Follow Friday this week!

  3. I went to the midnight releases of Harry Potter. The Lines were crazy! The Craziest thing I did however was travel to Wisconsin from Michigan to try and win an arc.

  15. New follower here! Lol that you sneaked into the middle school library! I've been known to keep a few books overdue even if they had a hold on them, because I just wasn't done yet...Here's my FF if you'd like to follow back: http://theonceandfuturelibrarian.blogspot.com/2012/01/follow-friday-3.html

  16. I never had to wait for ANY book, because apparently people do not read if they come from my hometown. oô So waiting in line for hours seems pretty impressive to me, even if not "crazy". *g*

  17. Hopping through. I've never accidentally kept a library book, but one time I accidentally threw a book away. It was in a stack of things I was throwing in the dumpster and I didn't realize it until it was too late to retrieve it.

  21. I've never stood in a long line for a book, but mainly because I have a Nook. But that's a good answer! I have "accidently" forgotten to return a book before, though. :) *Old Follower*
