Follow Friday [4]

Follow Friday is something I am very excited to be doing, since you know, I am kinda new and all. [: It is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Every week there is a new question to answer and new bloggers to meet! There is also a different blog featured every week! This weeks featured blog is Book'd Out, so don't forget to head over there and check it out!

Want to get in on all the fun? Head on over to Parajunkee or Alison Can Read and get all the info to do your own Follow Friday and see who you will meet!!

This Weeks Question Is...

Q: What book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

A: What a great question. I don't tend to avoid many genre's but here are a few. Any religious book. Religious undertones are not my thing, I am not big into any religion so I try and stay away from them. When I read a book, I don't want to feel like I am being preached to, I want to escape. And they don't have any steamy sexy scenes. That's a big no no for me. I am also not a huge Non-fiction fan. I get enough of the real world as it is, why would I want to read about it?! That really is pretty much it. Any other book I would give a shot, but I am just too big of a YA fan to truly love anything else. What can I say, I will always be a teen at heart. [:

  1. I'm a teen at heart too! I can't seem to get away from the YA (not that I'd ever try). I don't enjoy nonfiction for the same reason as you. I read to get away from real life, not delve back into it.

  2. I think when it comes to YA I'm the exact opposite. I've never been a big YA fan - And I'm now 19, so probably still a Young Adult myself. For some reasons I constantly feel insulted when I read these books. Like.. "Does the author really think teens are that stupid?" etc. XD

    Anyway, Happy Weekend!
