Shelf Candy Saturday [1]

Shelf Candy Saturday is a weekly meme hosted by Five Alarm Books and I chose to do it so I could brighten up my Saturdays! Every Saturday, bloggers get to post a cover that has really caught their eye over the week for everyone else to see. Judging a book by it's cover has never been so fun. [:

So this week a certain books series that I am in complete and total love with revealed its newest books cover [which is set to release in May] and I seriously spent days freaking out over it. I know a lot of blogs have done cover reveals for it but I couldn't help but to use it for my very first Shelf Candy Saturday because this book cover is just stunning. So, this Saturday my shelf candy is.....

City Of Lost Souls
By: Cassandra Clare

Why it is shelf candy:
This sucker is eye candy for multiple reasons, but I think Jace and Clary being together and facing each other on the cover is enough to make you want to pass out with excitement. As soon as it was released earlier this week I have not been able to take my eyes away from it. If you all are a fan of Cassie and this series then you know all about the teasers we have been getting, and I don't know, this cover just seems to fit some of the teasers does it not?! Also, does anyone else notice that Jace's bum is a bit large? Uh, hello, I love Jace, and the fact that he has a nice arse just makes him that much better. I mean, if I do say so myself and all....but you all know you are thinking it too! But really people, the look these two are giving each other on this cover makes me so excited for the May 8th release. Go on over to goodreads and add this shelf candy to your own to be read list, you know, if it isn't already there. [:

  1. I was just admiring this cover on line the other day. It is beautiful. The characters are just transparent enough to become a part of the scenery. Thank you for sharing it and for participating in Shelf Candy.

  3. Jace's bum! I will admit I hadn't actually been looking, but I notice it now. ;) I'm not sure how I feel about the cover actually... It wasn't at all how I imagined so I'm still not decided.

  4. I know, another thing that caught my eye is how they are blending into the scenery. And this is probably my favorite meme! I am more than happy to participate in it. [:
The one thing I like about cover reveals with Cassie is that you never know what you are going to get, no matter how much you think you will. It always makes it a bit fun! [:

  8. I love this cover! Though I've been so concentrated on their faces, that I did totally miss Jace's bum.. And it is quite large, and now I can't see anything else anymore, so.. Thanks! :D

And now.... Oh. Oh. Oh!!!!! This cover is out of this world!!! Totally BEAUTIFUL!!! You'e so right to be staring at it constantly! The whole design, the colors, the way Jace and Clary are staring so intensely at each other...WOW.

Your comments about Jace's bum are SO funny! Yes, it helps to know that he's got it where it counts, right? Lol.

    Have a fun weekend!! : )
